Beccariophoenix madagascariensis, commonly known as the No Windows Beccariophoenix or Coastal Beccariophoenix, is a species of flowering plant in the Arecaceae family. It is a large Coconut relative that is endangered in its habitat in Madagascar.
The Beccariophoenix variety with the "windows", commonly known as the Giant Windowpane Palm or Windowpane Coconut, used to be considered a variety of this species, but John Dransfield is renaming that variety. It is quite different when a seedling, in having wide, mostly unsplit leafs, wheres the 'madagascariensis' variety has fully split, very stiff upright leaves when young.
